 Kherson branch of Institute of post-graduate education "Odessa Maritime Training Center" was founded on the February, 21, 2000, in order to provide high quality training, refresh and updating of seafarers working on ships of the Ukrainian and foreign owners. Nowadays the staff of Kherson branch includes more then 150 collaborators.
The system of quality of the Kherson branch of Institute of post-graduate education "Odessa Maritime Training Center" is approved by such classifications societies:
that gives advantages of seamen, students in Institute, at further employment on the courts of foreign shipowners.
Training process is conducted in compliance with the International Conventions STCW'78/95, ISM code, ISPS, IMO recommendations, national requirements and requirements of shipping companies.
In its work Kherson branch constantly takes into account the latest national and international requirements as for the training of seafarers, in order to ensure safety of sailing and environmental protection.
Having a highly skilled teaching staff, training center provides training, refresh and updating courses for the specialists of maritime transport and industry.
Kherson branch of Institute closely co-operates with the Odessa State Maritime Academy, Kherson Maritime College, Odessa Maritime Training Center, Training and Certifying Center of Seafarers (TCCS, Odessa, Paster street, 16), different crewing companies.
Kherson branch is developing its activity and in the nearest future we are planning our training facilities (see "Simulators").
